We’re back after a brief hiatus. Comment here on chapters 16 and17 of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s/Sorcerer’s Stone, in which Harry and company learn, for the first time, that Voldemort’s favorite time to attack is finals week.

      Ron and Hermione really get wonderful chances to shine in this sequence. Ron’s loyalty! Hermione’s cleverness! So great.

      I remember being utterly FLABBERGASTED at the reveal of the villain. Well done, J.K.

      So is Quirrell, like, dead? Or what?

      And in conclusion, despite all my snipping, this book is awesome. Hooray!
