Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, Chapters 11-15

Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets[By J.K. Rowling]

We continue our reread with chapters 11-15 of Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, wherein Harry encounters his first example of a patently evil book that he trusts implicitly over the advice of his loved ones and the adults entrusted with his protection. Harry’s not the best at learning from his mistakes, is what I’m getting at here.

    1. Jessica says:

The Slytherins’ password is “pure-blood”? Either there is no oversight whatsoever in this school (likely) or Snape is like “Yeah, sure, I love racist passwords!” (also likely). I mean, can you imagine a prep school where the password was “Aryan pride?”

I actually find Hermione’s crush on Lockhart completely adorable. She’s a twelve-year-old girl, she’s allowed some blind spots! And of course she would have a crush on a writer.

I love how fiercely protective of Hermione Ron is once she’s petrified. TRUE LOVE. *___*
